Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Exclusive and Inclusive Tax?
Exclusive Tax means the tax is added ON TOP of the price (Price + Tax). Inclusive Tax means the tax is ALREADY included in the price (Price = Base + Tax).
How do I remove tax from a total amount?
Use the "Inclusive" mode. Mathematically, you divide the total by (1 + Tax Rate/100). For example, to remove 10% tax, divide by 1.10.
Which countries does this work for?
This calculator is universal. It works for GST (India, Australia, Canada), VAT (UK, Europe), Sales Tax (USA), or any percentage-based tax.
